The Calm Before the Storm

There’s something to be said about the time period where you’re the only one that can turn toys on in your household. It’s now safe to say, I am no longer in that period. Anything that has an on/off switch is no longer safe in my house.

There is music playing, animal sounds sounding, horns blowing, nursery rhymes playing, things moving and shaking, bells, horses, zebras. You name it and it’s all playing. I swear, at the exact same time.

I just cannot believe that for almost a year and a half with triplets, I was living in the calm BEFORE the storm. That’s probably going to be with anything as we go forward, right? It’s always going to be something else going on that makes this the calm before the storm.

Literally, as we speak, I hit a toy with my foot that would normally be off, but because they know how to turn everything on it’s going crazy. That’s basically why I decided to write this blog. So if you’re coming over for a nice, calm, relaxing visit? I suggest you go to the neighbors!

If you’re wanting to learn every song that is ever associated with a child’s toy? Definitely come my way! Not only will it be playing all around you, but I’ll probably be singing right along with them! That’s another thing I do. It’s not enough to just hear it all day long. You have to learn the songs and hum along even if you’re doing it subconsciously.

Bryan was playing with the kids while I was finishing dinner tonight and I hear him making a voice for one of Brooke’s dolls. First? Hilarious. Second? I’m like, that is literally one of the only toys that DOESN’T make noise. So sure, let’s give her a voice! Haha.

Now, I have to double and triple check that all the toys are shut off because I forgot to buy stock in batteries when we were preparing for the babes. Plus, let’s be honest, when the batteries die in certain things we’re like, ‘Oh man! I keep forgetting to buy batteries for that’. Don’t lie! You’ve done it!

As of right now, I don’t think we have anything too crazy for the weekend! A birthday party for my cousins twins will be super fun on Saturday. Other then that, we will see where the weekend takes us!

Happy Friday everyone! Enjoy your weekend!! ๐Ÿ˜€
