Varying Personalities

Bryan and I were talking as we just sat down after getting the kids in bed. It is AMAZING how, three babies who were born on the same day, are the same age, and two of them are identical, have such DIFFERENT personalities. I can literally hear one of them crying and know exactly who it is.

Brookie, she is just a little go-getter. She wants to know everything. She wants to figure out how to do everything. She was officially our first walker. She was definitely our first talker and she hasn’t stopped since she started. It’s hilarious to hear her babble on and watch as her brothers take in everything she is saying.

Brayden, he was our first to roll-over and our first crawler. He is the smallest but he is also the one that eats the most. He’s also my shy little guy. He takes about ten minutes of someone new being around before he starts to act like himself. When someone comes to the house, he puts his head down and crawls toward the door because he’s being shy. It’s the cutest thing to watch.

Brody, he was going to be our first walker before the whole broken leg debacle. He laughs at EVERYTHING. No matter what the other two are doing, he finds it hilarious. His brother is rolling over him, it’s funny. His sister is pointing at something and babbling, it’s funny. Bryan walks in the room and says something to me and I laugh, he laughs with me.

They still have so much in common and when they do things at the same time, it’s amazing to see. It still doesn’t change how much I love how different they truly are. The way they react to new things and figuring out their likes and dislikes, it’s like a new adventure every day.

We used to laugh because for identical boys, their taste buds sure aren’t the same. Brody will pretty much eat anything. Brayden started out a little more picky then Brody. He takes some warming up before he decides if he likes something. If he does, he eats a ton of it.

They share with each other extremely well, which is really nice to see. We don’t need three of everything, they needed to learn to share sometimes. That doesn’t mean I don’t have three of a lot. It makes it a lot easier if they truly do want to play with the same toy.

One of the main things that they all have in common? They LOVE music. They dance and laugh along to any music that I have playing. I sang to them all the time while they were growing inside of me and I sing to them if they wake up and need rocked back to sleep. The one thing that has changed in the house? Bryan sings to them. It is one of the CUTEST things I’ve ever witnessed!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Bryan is racing tonight and we have a busy weekend ahead of us! Thanks again for reading!
